By Friday, most of us have been several people: the professional, the parent, the friend, the decision-maker, the one who quietly held everything together.
That range is not a sign of a divided life. A gemstone is not broken because it has many faces.
Which facet carried this week
Name the role that did the most work this week, and the one you had no room for.
Neither observation is a failure. It is simply the shape the week took, and shape can be adjusted.
Return to the center
The facets change with the light. What does not change is the woman underneath them — her standards, her values, her voice.
Close the week by returning to her before Monday asks for another performance.
Let the week end with recognition rather than accounting. You held a great deal.
