How I Actually Use the ASCEND Planner

A walk through the six pillars, one week at a time, in the way I use them myself.

The planner is undated for a reason. There is no perfect Monday to begin, and there is no week that disqualifies you from starting.

Here is the rhythm I return to when I want the six pillars to shape my week rather than decorate it.

One pillar per week, in order

Alignment, Self-Authority, Clarity, Embodiment, Navigation, Discernment. Six weeks, one focus each. The order matters: you cannot navigate well what you have not yet named clearly.

Each week gets one prompt, one honest answer, and one small change. That is the whole assignment.

Review on Friday, not Sunday night

Friday review is reflective. Sunday review is anxious. Reviewing while the week is still fresh lets you record what actually happened instead of what you wish had happened.

Two lines are enough: what held, and what you would change.

This Week’s Practice

  • Choose your starting pillar — Alignment is the default.
  • Answer one prompt in writing, not in your head.
  • Set a fifteen minute Friday review that repeats weekly.
Planning with purpose is a practice, not a personality. The pillars simply keep the practice honest.
