Weekly Edition No. 01
Plan With Purpose, Not Pressure
The first week is not about doing more. It is about deciding what deserves your attention.
By Jewels Gordon September 15, 2026 4 minute read
Most weeks are not overloaded because we lack discipline. They are overloaded because everything arrives with the same urgency, and nothing is asked to justify itself.
This edition is an invitation to plan differently: fewer commitments, chosen on purpose, held with margin.
Begin with three, not thirty
Before you open your calendar, name the three outcomes that would make this week feel honest. Three is not a limitation — it is a decision. Everything else becomes optional, negotiable, or delegated.
When the week gets loud, those three become the line you return to instead of the list you abandon.
Protect the margin before it disappears
Margin is not leftover time. It is planned time — the space that lets a hard conversation, a delayed decision, or a tired morning exist without collapsing everything else.
Place it on the calendar first. Anything scheduled after it must work around it, not through it.
This Week’s Practice
- Write your three outcomes for the week in one sentence each.
- Block two hours of unassigned margin before Wednesday.
- Name one thing you are declining this week, and why.
A week planned with purpose still gets interrupted. The difference is that you know what to return to.

Planning a Week That Actually Holds
A calendar that survives Wednesday is built differently than one that only looks good on Sunday.
